Gjenbruk.

Artig å kunne sy om gamle klé. I forrige veke fekk eg ein sekk med klé av ei veninne, og tok noken av plagga og sydde om. Det første prosjektet vart ei hettejakke omgjort til lue og baggy knebukse til ynste dattera mi. Hetta på jakka vart til lue, og rygg og framdel vart bukse. Ribben øverst i buksa er laga av det som var nede på jakka :) artig gjenbruk!

It's great being able to re-sew old clothes. Last week a friend gave me a bag full of her old clothes, and I cut some of the clothes up, and redid them as new outfits. The first project was this hooded jacket, which turned into a hat and baggy capris for my youngest daughter. The hood was used for the hat, and the back/front was used for the capris. The ribbed edge on top is the same edge that was formerly on the bottom of the jacket. :)

Ellers ønsker eg alle sammen ein riktig fin påske, sjølv går eg på fri i dag, og skal tilbringe påsken ved sjøen med barna og foreldra mine. Gleder meg!

Luer og pannebånd i jerseystoff.

Eg er aleine heime i helga, og det betyr sying som vanlig. love it!!!! Ingen kan sei eg kjeder meg heime aleine jaffal :-) Eg har fått spørsmål om å lage luer og pannebånd på bestilling, så i går laga eg 4 luer og 5 pannebånd. I am home alone this weekend, so as usual I have been sewing. I just loooove it! Noone can acuse me of being bored by myself. I have been asked to make hats/headbands by several people, so yesterday I tried, and it resulted in 4 hats and 5 headbands. These are already sold/given away, but I have already an order in at www.stoffogstil.no, for more stretch jersey fabric. I highly recommend this web page for fabric shopping. It's excellent.

Throwback Thursday

Lappeteppe i patchwork. Dette er eit lite teppe, passer i baby/junior seng, el på fanget :) Lilla/krem farger i bomull, med ullfilt inni. Berre ein ting eg ikkje er fornøgd med. Aahh, kor irriterande!! Kan du finne feilen?

Patchwork quilt. I have made this big enough for a baby/toddler bed, or just on the lap. Made in purple/creams, cotton with felted wool on the inside. There is just one slight (Huge) problem, aahh how irritating. Can you spot the mistake?

New Dress!

Da har eg insider fått gjort noke med det stoffet eg kjøpte for ei stund sida. Eg skal i 80-års jubileum i helga, og hadde lyst på noke nytt å gå med. Kanskje denne kan funke? Dresskoden er mørk dress. 

Ka trur de? Gje meg gjerne ei tilbakemelding...det skal seiast at eg òg har pakka ein klassisk svart kjole i kofferten òg :)

I have finally used the fabric that I bought a few weeks ago. I am going to a jubilee this weekend, and I wanted to have a new dress. The dresscode is dark dress. 

What do you think? Could this work? I would love for you to send me a comment. ...I have packed a classical black dress n the suitcase just-in-case :)

Cabintrip

Åååhh for ei herlig helg vi har hatt. Først jente-hyttetur. Der kosa vi oss glugg ihjel. 2 store og 4 småjenter.

Masse snoping, god mat, vin, kortspel, skiturer, scrabble, hårklipp og soool. 

Takk for ein fin tur til jentene på Solheim :D

På søndag reiste vi videre til stølen vår. 

Håper på at påsken blir like solrik og fin, for no er ungane kløppere på ski!! 

We have had a fantastic weekend. We started off with a girls cabin trip, 2 big girls, and 4 little ones.

Lots of sweets, good food, wine, cards, skiing, scrabble, haircut and sunshine.

Thanks Solheim girls for a great weekend :D

From there we went to our own cabin.

Now we are hoping that Easter is just as sunny, because the kids are getting really good at skiing :D
